About Me: Nikola Nestorovic`s Chess Journey

I’m Nikola Nestorović, an International Chess Grandmaster and FIDE Certified Trainer with over 25 years of experience. My journey in chess started in my childhood, playing with my siblings and joining a chess academy to hone my skills.

I achieved the title of Chess Grandmaster in 2015 and became a FIDE Certified Trainer in 2018. I’ve competed in prestigious chess leagues across Europe and am currently a proud member of Sport Club Augsburg in the German First League – Bundesliga. One highlight of my career was playing against the 2021 Chess World Champion, Vishy Anand, which significantly enhanced my teaching skills.

I’ve authored books, including “Secrets of Positional Sacrifice” in 2022, reflecting my strategic understanding of chess. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive online platform for chess enthusiasts, I founded Chess District.
